Turn old bottles into unique
Jeannie in a Bottle art lamps
You've
seen old bottles turned into everything from vases to
ash trays. Now you can create visually stunning one-of-a-kind
illuminated Jeannie in a Bottle lamps with a few products
from
SunshineCrafts.com and simple instructions from Mount
Dora, Florida, artist Kimberly Ghia.
Each
luminous Jeannie in a Bottle lamp will be as unique as
the bottle it is created from and the artist who made
it. The lamps provide a beautiful mix of light, texture,
and color for any room and almost any style home decor.
Kimberly
has developed her own technique for creating "faux"
shards of broken glass that she adheres to transparent
bottles and then finishes with gold Liquid Leading. Each
lamp's colorful glow comes from a strand of mini lights
arranged inside. And the bottles are sealed with chunky
acrylic stones and other objects.
To
make it easy for you to create your first Jeannie
in a Bottle lamp, we have put together a starter
kit with all the products you need: Gallery
Glass Window Color, gold Liquid Leading, E6000
glue, mini
lights, chunky
jewels and an instructional
DVD. All you add is a recycled glass bottle.
